Bihar on High Alert After Intel Warns of Suspected Terrorist Infiltration from Nepal

The Bihar Police has issued a high alert across the state after receiving intelligence inputs that three suspected Pakistani terrorists entered Bihar through Nepal on August 15, officials confirmed.
According to police sources, the individuals are believed to be members of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). They have been identified as Hasnanin Ali from Rawalpindi, Adil Hussain from Umarkot, and Mohammad Usman from Bhawalpur. The trio reportedly arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, in the second week of August and crossed into Bihar sometime last week.
The Bihar Police Headquarters (PHQ) has shared their names, photographs, and passport details with law enforcement across border districts, urging strict verification and stepped-up surveillance.
With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, security agencies have ramped up measures across the state, focusing on sensitive locations such as railway stations, bus stands, hotels, and other crowded public places.
“Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel have been put on high alert, and airport and railway security teams have also increased vigilance,” said a senior officer. “Local intelligence units are actively tracking any unusual activity. This isn’t the first time the porous Bihar-Nepal border has been used for infiltration, and it remains a concern.”
Authorities have urged the public to stay alert and report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station without delay.
