Bihar Police Deploys 1,230 Sub-Inspectors for Security of 13,719 Muharram Processions

Bihar Police has geared up for security arrangements in the entire state in view of Muharram. On Friday, ADG (Law and Order) Pankaj Darad spoke to journalists. He told that this year 13719 licensed Tazia processions will be taken out in the state. Which is slightly more than last year. He said that strict monitoring will be done on all the processions. For this, control rooms have been set up in every district. Which will be active during Muharram.
Special monitoring in sensitive districts
ADG told that some districts of the state are extremely sensitive. These districts have been kept in a special category. These districts include Sitamarhi, Katihar, Purnia, Gopalganj, Shivhar, Banka, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Rohtas, Patna and Madhubani. Special vigilance is being exercised in these sensitive districts. Darad informed that every year incidents of communal tension come to the fore at some places. For which special vigilance is being exercised. Mainly due to forced collection of donations, a situation of dispute arises. In such a situation, this time the district administration is fully alert to stop it.
Every procession will be videographed
ADG Pankaj Darad said that this time videography of all Tazia processions has been made mandatory. Also, all processions will be taken out under police surveillance. 1230 sub-inspectors have been deployed on duty by the administration so that prompt action can be taken on any possible incident.
Strictness on rumors and provocative activities
ADG Law and Order made it clear during the conversation that no procession will be taken out without permission and DJ will be used. He said that DJ will be completely banned. Darad appealed to the public to avoid inflammatory or rumor-spreading comments and posts on social media. Do not share any post without verification and cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and order.
Appeal for peace and harmony
Bihar Police has appealed to the general public to respect all religious sentiments. Avoid any provocation and dispute and cooperate fully with the administration so that Muharram can be celebrated in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
The administration is fully prepared. If any kind of incident happens, senior officers of the district will immediately reach the spot and control the situation.
