Bihar proudly announces that it will host the All India Civil Services Sports Meet 2025–26 from December 13 to 15, 2025. The three-day national sporting event will take place at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh, Patna, bringing together civil service athletes from across the country to showcase their talent, determination, and sportsmanship. This year, a total of 1,084 participants—including 702 men athletes, 328 women athletes, and 54 officials—will compete, making it one of the most significant civil services sports events in India. Delegations from Haryana, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Karnataka will be participating, adding to the diversity and competitive spirit of the meet.

The event will feature major athletics competitions such as races across various distances, shot put, high jump, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw, relay races, and hammer throw. A dedicated category for veteran athletes aged 40 to 60 will also be included, ensuring a meaningful blend of youthful energy and seasoned experience. The Patliputra Sports Complex, equipped with a modern synthetic track, advanced throwing areas, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, and comprehensive training facilities, stands fully prepared to host this national meet with efficiency and excellence.

Athletics in Bihar has seen remarkable growth in recent years. The state government has invested significantly in sports infrastructure, district-level sports academies, talent identification programs, and athlete welfare initiatives. These sustained efforts have strengthened Bihar’s sporting culture and created new opportunities for young athletes to excel at national competitions. With rising performances from Bihar’s emerging athletes, the state is steadily gaining recognition on India's athletics map. Hosting national events such as this sports meet further encourages local talent, promotes sports tourism, and fosters the development of training ecosystems within the state.

The organising committee is led by Shri Pranav Kumar, Organizing Secretary, Department of Art, Culture & Youth, Bihar, while Shri Shirshat Kapil Ashok, Managing Director, BSRDCL, Government of Bihar, serves as the Secretary-cum-Nodal Officer (Athletics). Their leadership and meticulous supervision have ensured that all arrangements meet national standards, providing a safe, transparent, and world-class environment for the participants.

The Government of Bihar extends a warm welcome to all athletes, officials, and state contingents. The three-day meet is expected to celebrate athletic excellence, promote unity and sportsmanship, and set new benchmarks for future civil services sporting events.
