Bihar to Recruit 19,838 Constables: Online Applications Open from March 18

The work of fulfilling the resolution of the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Nitish Kumar, to give 12 lakh government jobs is being completed very fast. Now 19 thousand 838 constables are going to be reinstated in the police department of the state. This information was given by Jitendra Kumar, Chairman of the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) in a press conference held on Tuesday at the Police Headquarters Sardar Patel Bhawan.
Along with this, notification has also been issued for recruitment to the posts of constable in Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police.
6 thousand 717 posts have been specially reserved for women candidates out of 19 thousand 838 posts of constable. In this constable recruitment, 50 percent of the posts are reserved for the home guards of Bihar.

The online application process for this recruitment will start from March 18, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) csbc.bihar.govt.in. The last date for application has been fixed as 18 April 2025. The candidates who are successful in all its processes will get a monthly salary of Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.

The recruitment process of 19 thousand 838 posts for constable recruitment includes 7 thousand 935 posts for non-reserved category candidates, 1983 for economically weaker section, 3174 for Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 199 for Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, 3571 for Extremely Backward Class (EBC), 2381 for Backward Class (BC) (including 53 transgender) and 595 posts for women of backward classes (BCW) category. Apart from this, 397 posts have been identified under the horizontal reservation system for the dependents of freedom fighters.
