Bihar Vigilance Chief Orders Swift Action on 1,025 Pending Corruption Cases Across Departments

Additional Chief Secretary of Vigilance Department, Shri Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, during a review meeting with the Chief Vigilance Officers of the administrative departments in the communication room of the Soochna Bhawan on Thursday, directed to expedite the investigation and surprise inspection of the complaints received in relation to the schemes implemented in the state.
He said that the Honorable Chief Minister has clearly instructed that on receiving complaints of corruption in all schemes, it should be investigated promptly. Along with this, he also emphasized on increasing awareness among the people regarding the schemes.
The Additional Chief Secretary also reviewed the decisions taken in the last meeting with the Chief Vigilance Officers. Apart from this, the status of the investigation report of the online complaints sent to the administrative departments from the level of the Vigilance Department, the pending cases of prosecution approval were also reviewed.
During the review, he found that the maximum number of 336 cases are pending in the Education Department. He directed to execute all these cases within the next two months. In this review meeting, instructions have been issued to execute 160 cases of Urban Development and Housing Department, 142 cases of Health Department, 82 cases of Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department, 62 cases of Transport Department, 78 cases of Rural Development Department, 61 cases of Panchayati Raj Department, 79 cases of Home Department and 25 cases of General Administration Department within a month.
Additional Director General of Police, Special Surveillance Unit, Pankaj Kumar Darad said that we are all working as a team, so wherever we are needed, we will always be ready to cooperate.
During the meeting, training was also given by Joint Director, NIC, Patna regarding the portal of Surveillance Department developed by NIC.
In this review meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of Vigilance Department, Mr. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary was accompanied by Additional Director General of Police, Special Vigilance Unit, Pankaj Kumar Darad, Inspector General of Police, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Mrs. S. Premlata, Joint Secretary of Vigilance Department, Mr. Rama Shankar, Joint Secretary (Law), Mrs. Anju Singh, Chief Engineer (P) of Technical Examiner Cell, Mr. Raj Kumar, apart from this, Mr. Vinay Kumar, Inspector General of Police, Bihar Police Headquarters and Mrs. Rachna Patil, Special Secretary, General Administration Department along with Chief Vigilance Officers of other departments were also present.
