Bihar's Dr. Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan Receives 22.99 Lakh Applications Across 60,000 Hamlets

On the orders of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, an action plan was prepared to run Samagra Seva Abhiyan in all the districts on the occasion of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's birth anniversary. Special development camps were organized under Dr. Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan in more than 60 thousand small and big Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe hamlets of the state. Applications related to 22 major schemes were received in these.

22 lakh 99 thousand 405 applications were received in all the camps organized from 14 April to 17 May. In this, 9 thousand 477 applications have been received for infrastructure and 22 lakh 89 thousand 928 applications have been received for the demand of completion of various schemes. The process of implementation on these is going on rapidly at the level of the concerned department. While executing one third of the cases, the concerned person has also been given its benefit.

Steps moving towards development

A total of 9 thousand 477 applications related to infrastructure have been received, out of which 3 thousand 114 works have been successfully completed. Work is in progress in the remaining 4 thousand 652 cases. The big thing is that 32.86 percent of all the applications received in this category have been settled so far. At the same time, out of 22 lakh 89 thousand 928 applications related to the implementation of various schemes, 9 lakh 92 thousand 203 have been approved. Out of these, 43.48 percent applications have been settled.

Status of school construction

A total of 207 applications have been received for school construction related to the needs of infrastructure. Out of these, work has been completed at 45 sites. At the same time, 151 school construction cases are under process. The big thing is that the maximum 24 applications for school construction have been received from Muzaffarpur district. Work on three of these has been completed while 21 school construction cases are under process. At the same time, a total of 14 applications have been received from Nawada, out of which work has been completed on 11 while three cases are under process. At the same time, a total of 12 applications have been received for school construction from Siwan, Vaishali and Gopalganj districts. Out of these, work has been completed at one place in Siwan while three are under process. In Vaishali too, work has been completed at one place, while 11 school construction cases are under process. In Gopalganj, school construction cases are under process at 12 places.

Talking about other districts, 2 applications for school construction have been received from Araria, 4 from Arwal, 4 from Aurangabad, 10 from Banka, 1 each from Begusarai and Bhagalpur, 12 from Bhojpur, 5 from Darbhanga, 10 from East Champaran, 11 from Gaya, 3 from Kaimur, 2 from Katihar, 3 from Kishanganj, 3 from Lakhisarai, 8 from Madhubani, 5 from Munger, 7 from Patna, 4 from Nalanda, 6 from Rohtas, 8 from Saharsa, 3 from Samastipur, 11 from Saran, 4 from Sitamarhi, 3 from Supaul and 1 from West Champaran.

A total of 632 applications were received for Anganwadi construction related to infrastructure needs. Out of these, work has been completed at 172 sites, while 437 construction cases are under process. Like school construction, the maximum applications for Anganwadi construction have also been received from Muzaffarpur. The maximum number of applications, 49, have been received from Muzaffarpur. Out of these, construction work for 18 Anganwadis has been completed, while 30 are under process. 40 applications have also been received from Nawada. Out of these, construction work has been completed at 33 sites and 7 are under process. A total of 36 applications have been received from Siwan. Out of these, work has been completed at 8 sites and construction work for 14 Anganwadis is under process. A total of 33 applications have been received from Vaishali, out of which work has been completed at 10 sites and 23 are under process.

Talking about other districts, 16 applications have been received from Araria, 7 from Arwal, 15 from Aurangabad, 21 from Banka, 9 from Begusarai, 9 from Bhagalpur, 37 from Bhojpur, 3 from Buxar, 19 from Darbhanga, 32 from East Champaran, 14 from Gaya, 25 from Gopalganj, 26 from Kaimur, 9 from Katihar, 14 from Kishanganj, 13 from Lakhisarai, 33 from Madhubani, 24 from Patna, 15 from Rohtas, 18 from Saharsa, 10 from Samastipur, 22 from Saran, 15 from Supaul and 17 from West Champaran.

It is clear from these figures that the state government is giving priority to infrastructure development among rural and socially backward classes. The pace of ongoing construction work for education and nutrition is commendable and the Mahadalit communities will directly benefit from it
