CBSE Class 10th and 12th Results 2025: Live Updates, Access Codes on Digilocker, and Post-Result Process

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare the results for Class 10 and 12 board exams this week. Students can check their scores on multiple official websites including cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, and results.digilocker.gov.in, as well as the UMANG app.

Where and How to Check

Along with the main CBSE result portals, students will also be able to access their digital mark sheets and certificates via Digilocker. For the first time, CBSE has introduced a six-digit access code that students will need to activate their Digilocker accounts. These access codes are being sent to schools, which will then pass them on to students.

There’s been a major change in the post-result process this year. If a student is unhappy with their marks, they will now have to first request a copy of their evaluated answer sheet before applying for mark verification or re-evaluation. Earlier, students could apply for rechecking first and then ask for the answer sheet later. The new system is meant to make the review process more transparent.

CBSE usually releases its results in May. Last year, results were declared on May 13. In 2023, they came out on May 12. The COVID years saw delays, with results being announced in July or even August. As for performance, last year’s overall pass percentage was 93.60% for Class 10 and 87.98% for Class 12 — a slight improvement over 2023.

Passing Criteria

To pass, students need to score at least 33% in each subject, including both the theory and practical components (if applicable). Simply put, failing in either part means failing the subject. Students also need to have 33% marks overall across all subjects to be declared ‘passed’.
