Celina Jaitly Files ₹50-Crore Domestic Violence Case Against Husband Peter Haag

Former actor and former Miss India Celina Jaitly has filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Austrian businessman Peter Haag, before the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri, Mumbai. According to reports, the case—filed under the Domestic Violence Act—alleges cruelty, manipulation and other forms of abuse. It came up for verification and notice on Tuesday before the court of SC Tadye, HT has learned.

Celina has sought damages amounting to ₹50 crore, along with additional compensation for loss of income and property, ANI reported. The couple, who married in 2011, are parents to three sons. Their first set of twins, Winston and Viraaj, were born in 2012. In 2017, they welcomed another set of twin boys, Shamsher and Arthur, but Shamsher tragically passed away shortly after birth due to a heart condition.

The actor has also been in the headlines recently due to her brother’s legal troubles abroad. Celina claims her brother, Major (retired) Vikrant Jaitly, was illegally detained in the UAE in September 2024. The matter is now under active consideration by Indian authorities. Earlier this month, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that the Indian Embassy has been providing support. “Our embassy is seized of the matter. We have made consular visits to him on four occasions,” MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on November 7.

Celina approached the Delhi High Court seeking assistance for her brother, requesting that the government provide both legal and medical support. In response, the court directed the MEA to extend necessary aid while it continues to hear her petition.

A former Miss Universe runner-up, Celina Jaitly transitioned from pageants to a career in Bollywood before stepping away from the industry to focus on her family life. Her recent legal actions—both on the domestic front and concerning her brother—mark a significant and challenging chapter for the actor, who has largely stayed out of the public eye in recent years.
