CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates 120-Room Mahabodhi Guest House with ITC Welcome Hotel in Bodhgaya

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Mahabodhi Guest House in Bodh Gaya today by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon for operation of Welcome Hotel Y ITC. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the guest house. During this, he went to the second and seventh floor and inspected the rooms and other parts of the guest house and got information about the arrangements there. 120 rooms have been built for the stay of tourists in the international level guest house built in 08 acres. This guest house has been built keeping in mind the needs and facilities of the tourists coming from the country and abroad. International level facilities have been provided for tourists in this guest house. Every year lakhs of tourists and devotees come to Bodh Gaya from the country and abroad for worship, who will now have a lot of convenience in staying.
While talking to journalists at Mahabodhi Guest House, the Chief Minister said that the guest house of Bodh Gaya has been built very well. We wanted that a guest house should be built here. We had made a plan for this long ago. A large number of tourists come here from the country and abroad. Due to lack of accommodation, they used to return after visiting the Mahabodhi temple. With the construction of Mahabodhi Guest House, tourists will get a lot of convenience in staying here.
After this, the Chief Minister worshiped Lord Buddha in the Mahabodhi temple. He also worshiped the Bodhi tree and prayed for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the state. The Chief Minister was presented with a symbol and a garment by the Bodh Gaya Temple Management Committee.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Major Dhyan Chand Sports Complex located in Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (Bipad) in Gaya by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon. After the inauguration, he took stock of its various parts. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the open air theater and swimming pool located in Bipad by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon. During this, the player demonstrated swimming in the swimming pool in front of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister took stock of the preparations for the competitions to be held under 'Khelo India Youth Games 2025' and inquired about the facilities to be provided to the players in the sports track and sports ground. The Chief Minister unveiled the mascot of 'Khelo India Youth Games 2025'. A player from Maharashtra demonstrated the game of Malkhamb in front of the Chief Minister. Also, an 11-year-old boy and girl performed yoga feats. The Chief Minister appreciated the performance of the players and encouraged them. While talking to the players, the Chief Minister said that you all should practice diligently and perform better in your games with sportsmanship during the competition. It is worth noting that 'Khelo India Youth Games 2025' is being organized for the first time in Bihar. 'Khelo India Youth Games 2025' will be organized in Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, Bhagalpur and Begusarai from May 4 to May 15.
