CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates ₹580 Crore Development Projects in Purnia

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a total of 62 developmental schemes worth more than Rs 580.87 crore through remote from Kamakhya temple premises located in Bhawanipur village of Majra Panchayat of Krityanand Nagar block of Purnia district in the third phase of Pragati Yatra. The Chief Minister prayed at the Kamakhya temple and wished for happiness, peace and prosperity of the state.
The Chief Minister took stock of various developmental works in Bhawanipur village of Majra Panchayat of Krityanand Nagar block. During this, the Chief Minister took information regarding road construction work using waste plastic under Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan. Under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, the beautification work of Maa Kamakhya Pokhara was inaugurated by unveiling the stone plaque and took stock of it. The Chief Minister said that this pond has been built very well. People can come and roam here. On this occasion, the Chief Minister provided keys and symbolic cheques to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme.
After this, the Chief Minister observed the creative works done by the children of Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan, Purnia, such as painting, picture exhibition, acting, dance, products made of jute art and coin art and various creative works. Praising the creative works of the children, the Chief Minister said that all of you are doing very good creative work, many congratulations to all of you.
After this, the Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up by various departments. During this, information was taken about the various activities and products being done by the Jeevika sisters of the self-help group for livelihood. The Chief Minister gave a symbolic cheque of Rs 204 crore to 1 lakh 43 thousand 88 Jeevika sisters, a symbolic cheque of Rs 5 crore 32 lakh to 1127 Jeevika sisters, a symbolic cheque of Rs 27 crore 21 lakh to 13 thousand 605 Jeevika sisters and a symbolic cheque of Rs 3 lakh 78 thousand to 700 beneficiaries for integrated poultry development. He also saw the various products displayed at the stall of Jeevika sisters and talked to them. The Chief Minister said that in the year 2005, when we got a chance to work in Bihar, we saw that the number of self-help groups here is negligible. We took a loan from the World Bank and started increasing the number of self-help groups. We named the women associated with self-help groups as 'Jeevika Didi', inspired by which the then Central Government named it 'Ajeevika'. This has improved the economic condition of the women of Bihar a lot. Women are becoming self-reliant by joining self-help groups. Their dress and speech have also become very good. They have started talking to people without hesitation. I congratulate all of you Jeevika Didis for doing better work.
The Chief Minister inspected the stalls of the Industries Department, Health Department, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Social Welfare Department, Education Department etc. During this, he provided symbolic cheques to the beneficiaries of Chief Minister Udyam Udyam Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Card Scheme, Bal Hriday Yojana, Student Credit Card Scheme, Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme, Basgeet Parcha etc. Along with this, the Chief Minister did the baby shower of the newborn baby. The Chief Minister observed the live classes of Unnayan Bihar Purnia.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the beautification of Kamakhya temple complex, tourist facilities and rest house by unveiling the stone plaque. The Chief Minister inspected Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya, Majra and met the children and inquired about educational work etc. The Chief Minister also met the children of Anganwadi Center, Purnia and inquired about the educational work and motivated them to study. The Chief Minister inaugurated the sports complex at Kamakhya High School and inspected it.
After this, the Chief Minister inspected the bypass path from Bhutaha turn to the fourth km of SH 60 through a sketch. Its length will be 9.176 km and its proposed cost will be Rs 151.47 crore. Its construction work will make the city's movement easy and people will get relief from traffic jams. Along with this, the Chief Minister inquired about the widening and strengthening work of SH 65 from Dhamdaha to Purnia Airport through a sketch. Its length will be 32 km and its proposed cost will be Rs 100 crore. He also inquired about the upgradation, widening and strengthening work of State Highway No. 99 under Purnia and Kishanganj district through a sketch. Its length will be 63.35 km.
After this, the Chief Minister inspected the Sports Complex (Multi Purpose Hall) located at Rangbhoomi Maidan and met the local players. During this, the officials informed the Chief Minister about the Chief Minister's sports component structure and construction activities under the Chief Minister's Sports Development Scheme. The Chief Minister said that the construction work should be done properly so that the children can play well, run and they do not face any kind of inconvenience and the form of Rangbhoomi Maidan is also preserved.
