When our government was formed in Bihar in the year 2005, then we decided to expand the self-help groups. For this, in the year 2006, by taking a loan from the World Bank, work was started towards increasing the number of self-help groups in the whole of Bihar. We named the self-help group as Jeevika and the women joining it were called Jeevika Didi. The central government of that time, inspired by our work, started this scheme in the name of Ajeevika across the country.

Wherever we go in Bihar, we definitely meet Jeevika Didi. Now we are forming Jeevika groups in urban areas of Bihar as well. Till now, the number of Jeevika Didi in urban areas has increased to more than 3 lakh. The government is helping you in every way. Whatever problems you have, they are resolved immediately.
