CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for ₹554 Crore Development Projects in Aurangabad

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a total of 195 developmental schemes worth more than Rs 554 crore in Aurangabad district today through remote in the course of Pragati Yatra. These include the inauguration of 79 schemes at a cost of Rs 127.43 crore and the foundation stone laying of 116 schemes at a cost of Rs 428.76 crore.

In the course of Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Panchayat Government Building in Bedhni Panchayat of Dev Block under Aurangabad district by unveiling the stone plaque. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed Panchayat Government Building and took stock of the library, Mukhiya Room, Revenue Employee Office, Panchayat Secretary Room etc. Visiting the Mahadalit Tola located in Gram Panchayat Bedhni, the Chief Minister inspected the Pucca Gali Nali, Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojana, Housing Scheme, Chief Minister Solar Street Light Scheme, Community Building cum Workshop constructed under the Seven Resolves Scheme. During this, the Chief Minister also interacted with the local people.

The Chief Minister prayed at the famous Surya Mandir, Dev and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state. He inspected the land earmarked for the proposed ring road construction and Medical College Aurangabad at Irrigation Colony Dev. During the site inspection, the officials gave detailed information to the Chief Minister through the site map about the construction work of the road connecting the proposed Surya Kund, Dev to Dev Bypass (Ring Road) and the construction work of the ring road in Nagar Panchayat Dev. During this, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to ensure better road connectivity so that there is smooth traffic to the Medical College Aurangabad to be built here. The Chief Minister reviewed the development work being carried out by the Tourism Department at Surya Kund and Rudra Kund premises in Dev. During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that Rudra Kund has been developed very well. A good ghat has also been built around it. Instructing the officials, he said that Surya Kund should be made deeper so that there is always water in it. The beautification of Surya Kund should also be done properly so that the Chhath devotees and pilgrims coming here do not face any inconvenience. During this, the Chief Minister also inspected the site identified for the proposed radial road construction. Instructing the officials, the Chief Minister said that the construction of this radial road should be completed before the upcoming Chhath Puja. The construction of this road will provide great convenience to the devotees coming here during the Chhath Mahaparva. He said that there is a very ancient and famous Surya Mandir in Dev here. A large number of devotees reach here during Chhath Puja.

The Chief Minister inspected the multi-storey building of Aurangabad and took information from the officials regarding the facilities provided. Instructing the officials, the Chief Minister said that this model hospital building is 9 storeys, ensure the installation of a lift in it as soon as possible, so that the patients can easily reach the upper floor. After this, the Chief Minister inspected the proposed river front construction work on the Adari river at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Park, Aurangabad and gave several necessary instructions to the officials. It is worth mentioning that the Adari river passes through the middle of Aurangabad city, which is a tributary of the Punpun river. Its origin is believed to be from Adari village of Dev block. This river is very important from the religious point of view, Chhath Mahaparva is celebrated by the people of far-flung and nearby areas on the banks of this river. Due to passing through the middle of the city, it is also very important from the point of view of tourism and urban beauty. Therefore, the work of beautification and river front development of Adari river is proposed in this scheme. It is proposed to include the work of river front development in a length of 1500 meters at various places between Kamabigha (NH-2) and APJ Abdul Kalam Park Aurangabad. It is proposed to include the work of a total of seven open gyms, parks, RCC chairs, tree plantation etc. at various places between Kamabigha (NH-2) and A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Park Aurangabad. For integrated drainage work, it is proposed to construct a 2500 meter main drain parallel to the Adari river so that by connecting the small drainage drains of the city to this drain, the dirty water is connected to the river outside the city so that the river does not get polluted in the city and the water of the said drain can be cleaned naturally (self purification). It is proposed to include the construction and widening work of the service path on the right dam of the Adari river.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Residential School, Kushi, Aurangabad under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department through remote. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed building of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Residential School Kushi and took stock of the library, multipurpose room, school premises etc. During this, the Chief Minister talked to the girl students. He said that all of you should study diligently. A very beautiful and grand school building has been constructed here. We want all of you to study steadily and move forward continuously. The Chief Minister observed the stalls set up by Jeevika Didi and various departments.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister provided symbolic cheque and key of Mukhyamantri Block Parivahan Yojana, Ayushman Card, symbolic cheque of Rs 2 crore 94 lakh as first installment to 147 selected beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Udyam Yojana (year 2024-2025), symbolic cheque of Mukhyamantri Disabled Marriage Incentive Grant Scheme etc. to the beneficiaries. During this, while talking to the Jeevika Didis, the Chief Minister said that all of you are working very well. When we got a chance to work in Bihar, at that time the number of self-help groups here was negligible. We decided to increase it and started work by taking a loan from the World Bank in the year 2006. We named the self-help group as Jeevika. We named the women associated with Jeevika as Jeevika Didi. Inspired by our work, the central government of that time changed its name to Aajeevika in the whole country. All of you stay strong. The state government is making every possible effort to take all of you forward. We have started the work of forming Jeevika Self Help Groups in urban areas as well. While talking to journalists, the Chief Minister said that in the year 2006, we saw that the number of self-help groups here was negligible, then we started increasing the number of self-help groups by taking a loan from the World Bank. We named the self-help group as Jeevika, inspired by which the then central government named it Ajeevika. We named the women associated with Jeevika as Jeevika Didi. Self-help groups are also being expanded in urban areas. By joining Jeevika, women are becoming self-reliant and self-sufficient. This has improved the economic condition of the women of Bihar a lot. Their dress and speech have also become very good. They have started talking to people without hesitation. You people should also tell people about the work of Jeevika Didi and the changes in their lives.
