CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for Rs 1378.46 Crore Worth of Developmental Projects in Rohtas

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a total of 1220 developmental schemes worth Rs 1378.46 crore for Rohtas district from Upgraded High Secondary School, Beladi Campus in the sequence of Pragati Yatra through remote, which includes the foundation stone laying of 1971 schemes worth Rs 1110.23 crore and inauguration of 249 schemes worth Rs 268.22 crore.

In the sequence of Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister unveiled the foundation stone of Karamchat Eco Tourism and Adventure Hub Scheme in Chenari block under Rohtas district at a cost of Rs 4973.33 lakh, Boat House Camp Scheme in village Badalgarh at a cost of Rs 271.16 lakh and Bhaluni Dham Eco Park Scheme in Dinara block at a cost of Rs 1489.33 lakh by unveiling the plaque through remote. The officials gave detailed information to the Chief Minister regarding these schemes through site plan and model.

During the foundation stone laying program of Durgawati Eco Tourism and Adventure Hub, the Chief Minister inaugurated the hot air balloon and the process of making dona and plate from sal leaves by Adivasi Janjati Vikas Samiti. The Chief Minister also reviewed the process of making Mahua based sweets. A short documentary 'Rohtas Transformation Journey' based on the development of Rohtas district was screened before the Chief Minister. During this, the Chief Minister presented a symbolic cheque of Rs 3 lakh to the beneficiaries for the Chief Minister's Private Other Species Nursery Incentive Amount. Local women greeted the Chief Minister by singing traditional dance and welcome song. The Chief Minister inspected the Gram Panchayat Bhawan in Malhipur Panchayat of Chenari block. During the inspection, the Chief Minister inaugurated ACTPS counter, library, post office, dialogue room and Sudha Milk Parlor. The Chief Minister inspected the ponds beautified under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan and rain water harvesting in the Panchayat Government Building premises.

The Chief Minister visited Manhipur village and inspected the development works done, during which he also interacted with the local people and became aware of their problems. The Chief Minister inspected the badminton court constructed in Malhipur Panchayat and provided sports kits to the players. The Chief Minister visited the stalls set up by various departments and Jeevika Didi.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister gave symbolic cheques of financial assistance of Rs 10.85 crore for asset creation to 2121 beneficiaries of Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, settlement certificate of government land to eligible category beneficiaries under Abhiyan Basera, keys of goat farm under Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, keys of detergent making unit under Sustainable Livelihood Scheme (Urban), keys of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, symbolic cheque of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana, symbolic cheque of Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana. Apart from this, keys of tricycle under Mukhyamantri Divyaangjan Empowerment Chhatra Yojana, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister Intercaste Marriage Promotion Grant Scheme, Chief Minister Disabled Marriage Promotion Grant Scheme, Chief Minister Minority Student Incentive Scheme, Assistance Scheme for Muslim Divorced / Abandoned / Abandoned Mahila Women, symbolic cheques to the beneficiaries of Jeevika Self Help Group Malhipur. While inspecting the stalls, the Chief Minister while talking to the Jeevika sisters said that all of you Jeevika sisters are doing a very good job in the whole of Bihar.

When I was a minister in the center, I visited many places and saw the work of self-help groups. The number of self-help groups in Bihar was very less. In the year 2005, when our government was formed in Bihar, we decided to expand the self-help groups. For this, in the year 2006, by taking a loan from the World Bank, work was started with the objective of increasing the number of self-help groups in the whole of Bihar. We named the self-help group as Jeevika and called the women joining it as Jeevika Didi. The central government of that time, inspired by our work, started this scheme in the name of Aajeevika across the country.

Wherever we go in Bihar, we definitely meet Jeevika sisters. So far, more than 1 crore 35 lakh Jeevika sisters have joined self-help in Bihar. Now we are forming Jeevika groups in the urban areas of Bihar as well. Till now, the number of Jeevika didis in urban areas has reached more than three and a half lakhs. The government is helping you in every way. Whatever problems you have, they are resolved immediately. While giving instructions to the District Magistrate, the Chief Minister said that Jeevika didis should not face any kind of problem, we want their work to expand further. Jeevika didis expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the community cattle shed, badminton court, playground constructed at a cost of Rs 9.98 lakh and pond constructed at a cost of Rs 9.80 lakh near Panchayat Government Building in Malhipur under Rohtas district through remote. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the community cattle road and took information from the officials regarding the facilities provided. During the inspection, the Chief Minister gave a symbolic cheque of financial assistance of Rs 1.8 crore for dairy enterprise to 321 beneficiaries of Sustainable Livelihood Scheme and a symbolic cheque of Desi Gau Palan Protsahan Yojana to the beneficiaries. The Chief Minister also inspected the processing unit run by Jeevika Didi.

The Chief Minister inspected the site of construction of the proposed bridge on the Cow River in village Bajitpur of Sanjhauli block. The Chief Minister visited the Integrated Farming and Utkarsh Biofuel Plant in village Ghusiokhrud of Bikramganj block and gave necessary instructions to the officials. The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed District Panchayat Resource Center, Sasaram under Rohtas district by unveiling the plaque. Its estimated cost is Rs 600 lakh. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the District Panchayat Resource Center, Sasaram and took stock of the facilities provided in the video conferencing room, training room etc. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development schemes under Rohtas district in the premises of Upgraded Higher Secondary School, Beladi through remote. The Chief Minister interacted with the girl students taking training in Judo Karate for self-defense in the school premises and congratulated and wished them. The Chief Minister inspected the 3D Lab (Solar System) (Solar System) established in the premises of Upgraded Higher Secondary School. The Chief Minister also visited the stall related to the project made by the students of Government Middle School Beladi based on India's space flight.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed laboratory of Plus 2 Beladi High School at District Panchayat Resource Center (BPRC), Beda (Sataram) through remote. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the laboratory and also took information about the facilities provided there.
