CM Nitish Kumar Inspects Rs 52.54 Crore Link Road to Solve Ashok Rajpath Traffic Woes

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inspected the construction work of the link road from Patna Sahib Railway Station to Patna Ghat under JP Ganga Path. During this, he directed the officials to complete the construction work expeditiously. Chief Minister OP Shah stopped near Community Hall, Patna City and Patna Ghat and saw the construction work and took detailed information about the schemes related to the construction work through the site map.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that this path will start from Patna Sahib Railway Station and provide connectivity to JP Ganga Path via Patna Ghat. The construction of this path will get rid of the problem of traffic jam in Ashok Rajpath and Marufganj Mandi area and JP Ganga Path will get connectivity with NH-30 (Patna-Bakhtiyarpur Path).
It is known that the path is being constructed from Patna Sahib Railway Station to Patna Ghat at a cost of Rs 52.54 crore. This path is being constructed on the basis of mutual exchange of land between the State Government and Railways. This path will start from Patna Sahib Railway Station and provide connectivity to J.P. Ganga Path via Patna Ghat. The total length of this path is 1.5 km. In the proposed path, provision of flyover has been made on Ashoka Rajpath. Adequate provision has been made for two-lane service path on both sides of the path and street lights, road marking etc. along the service path.
During the inspection, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Kumar Ravi, Secretary of Road Construction Department Mr. Sandeep R. Pudkalkatti, Commissioner of Patna Division Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Managing Director of Bihar State Path Vikas Nigam Limited Mr. Shirshat Kapil Ashok, District Magistrate Dr. Tyagarajan S.M., Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Karthikeya K. Sharma and other senior officers were present.
