Congress in Himachal Headed for Disintegration, Governance Paralysed: Anurag Thakur

The Congress party in Himachal Pradesh is a divided house and is heading toward further disintegration, said BJP leader Anurag Thakur on Sunday, alleging intense infighting within the ruling party that has crippled governance in the state.
Addressing reporters during his day-long tour of Una district, the Hamirpur Member of Parliament said ministers within the Congress government are openly questioning the system, exposing deep cracks within the party and a lack of coordination between employees, officers, and ministers.
“The Congress family in Himachal Pradesh is fragmented. There is no coordination among employees, officers, and ministers, which is not in the best interest of the state,” Thakur said, questioning both the infighting among ministers and the functioning style of government officials.
He alleged that since the Congress came to power, Himachal Pradesh has witnessed disasters every year, and the government has failed on relief and rescue operations. “Law and order in the state is in a terrible condition, yet the government is sitting idle. Development can only happen when there is proper coordination. Without it, welfare schemes cannot reach the people,” he added.
Thakur further claimed that tensions within the government are increasing. “Today, there is more tension than coordination among employees, officers, and the government. Even ministers are questioning the functioning of their own government. Is this tension pushing the Congress toward disintegration? Is it stalling development work? Will it plunge the state into deeper debt? Will the rift between the Chief Minister and his ministers continue to widen?” he asked.
"The tension has increased so much that one minister questions the system, another minister counters him, a third minister comes and supports the first minister, and the Chief Minister's statement is something else entirely. Such a fragmented family has never been seen in any government before," he added.
The BJP leader said, “Ultimately, what decisions of the government are behind this infighting, this unrest, and tension among the ministers? This is a big question. If officers are not working in the best interest of the state, is it justified to discriminate against them by calling them outsiders or from outside the state, or is it justified to question any officer who is not working in the best interest of the state and take appropriate action?”
The BJP leader further said, “A major question arises: which government decisions are responsible for this infighting, unrest, and tension among ministers? If officers are not working in the best interest of the state, is it justified to discriminate against them by calling them outsiders or from outside the state, or is it justified to question any officer who is not working in the best interest of the state and take appropriate action?”
