Day 4 of AI Impact Summit 2026 Sees Public Entry Curtailed Amid PM Modi’s Visit

The fourth day of the AI Impact Summit 2026 being held at Pragati Maidan proved deeply disappointing for general visitors. Entry was denied to the public after 10. 30 am due to the scheduled address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several heads of state from different countries. The sudden decision created confusion throughout the day. Not only were ordinary citizens inconvenienced but participating entrepreneurs at the expo also suffered the loss of a full business day.
To compensate for this disruption the organizers have extended the event by one additional day. The expo which was originally scheduled to conclude on February 20 will now continue until February 21. However participants who had already planned their return from Delhi will depart as per their prior arrangements.
With the presence of the Indian Prime Minister and other global leaders security arrangements were exceptionally stringent. Visitors arriving from Delhi and nearby regions were turned back at the outer gates. Rohit Tiwari, an entrepreneur at RM Facility Management Private Limited from Noida and the company’s CEO Lalit Arya had to return disappointed from the main entrance. In contrast Anushka Chaprana, a data science student from Meerut managed to enter precisely at 10. 30 am and expressed happiness at gaining access. Yet she regretted that despite being inside she could not attend the Prime Minister’s speech as it was restricted to select invitees. In fact the speeches of distinguished leaders remained exclusive to distinguished audiences.
While keynote addresses continued at Bharat Mandapam the expo floor witnessed a sense of uncertainty. Private sector exhibitors continued presenting their products to the limited number of visitors while government pavilions appeared largely deserted. From the private sector Shubham Raj of Lexlegis Solutions Private Limited and Niyati Chhaya, co - founder of Hyperbots made productive use of the quiet halls by engaging the few serious attendees present. Hundreds of personnel deployed on duty also found a rare moment to ease their fatigue. Robots that had been energetically performing demonstrations in previous days were seen resting today. Following controversy surrounding one robot others appeared noticeably subdued. As an exception the robot displayed by Mahindra Group remained somewhat active.
The restriction on general visitors also diminished activity at the food courts. After three consecutive days of severe traffic congestion around Pragati Maidan working professionals in the area experienced relative relief today.
This ambitious AI summit in Delhi has attracted representatives from more than hundred countries. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s keen interest in the sector the conference is steadily elevating its stature on the global stage and positioning India as a significant force in the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.
