The Labour Resources Department of the Bihar Government has achieved a major achievement in the field of energy efficiency and environmental conservation. The Department's Niyojan Bhawan located in Patna has been awarded a 5-star rating by the Government of India.
Rating based on 'More Stars-More Savings' standards
This rating has been given on the basis of "More Stars-More Savings" standards, which are given to energy efficient buildings in the composite climate zone of the country. Better performance in low load of 1000 KVA is a major feature of this building.
Behind the success of the department in the field of energy conservation, not only technical measures but also the dedicated participation of lower level employees to senior officers has been there. On this occasion, the Secretary of the Department, Deepak Anand, organized a special meeting and urged all the employees to take a pledge of energy conservation.
