The global launch of ACAD QUAD 2026, an international academic and intellectual competition, was ceremoniously inaugurated today at Delhi Public School, Patna by the Hon’ble Governor of Bihar, Shri Arif Mohammed Khan.
The prestigious event was attended by distinguished dignitaries including Shri Vivek Kumar Singh, Chairman, RERA, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, Zonal Manager, Central Bank of India, Shri Robert L. Chongthu, Principal Secretary to the Governor, and Shri B. Vinod, Principal, DPS Patna.
ACAD QUAD 2026 is being organised by Extra-C, a global platform dedicated to promoting crossword and intellectual competitions across countries. Extra-C works towards building analytical thinking, linguistic skills, and global academic collaboration by engaging students in structured mind sports. Through its initiatives, it aims to transform learning into an enjoyable and intellectually rewarding experience for young minds worldwide.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Governor referred to the Bhagavad Gita, highlighting the importance of mastering the mind as the foundation of wisdom and success. He observed that crossword solving and similar intellectual pursuits are modern forms of “mind games” that cultivate focus, discipline, and clarity of thought — values deeply rooted in the teachings of the Gita.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Vivek Kumar Singh, Chairman, RERA, the visionary behind taking crossword competitions to a global stage, said:
“Crosswords are not just puzzles; they are powerful tools for expanding knowledge and imagination. Through ACAD QUAD, we are presenting education in a new light — where learning becomes joyful, competitive, and universal. Our mission is to take this intellectual movement from India to the world.”
Expressing his support for the initiative, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, Zonal Manager, Central Bank of India, remarked:
“We take pride in supporting an endeavour that strengthens young minds and promotes intellectual growth. Initiatives like ACAD QUAD align with our commitment to nation-building through education and innovation.”

The launch event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and educators, reaffirming the growing importance of brain-based learning in modern education. The successful unveiling of ACAD QUAD 2026 marks a significant milestone in integrating intellectual sports into mainstream academic culture.
