Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi inaugurated Mangal Sadan, a newly renovated multipurpose facility at the Police Colony, PTS Malviya Nagar, in the presence of Sh. Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi.

Senior officers including Ms. Nuzhat Hasan IPS, Spl. CP/HRD, Shri Neeraj Thakur, IPS, Spl. CP/DPHCL, Shri Vijay Kumar, IPS, Spl. CP/AP Div., Shri M.N. Tiwari, IPS, Joint CP/AP and Dr. Rakesh Bansal, IPS Addl. CP/AP-II and others graced the event.

‘Mangal Sadan’ replaces the old, dilapidated community hall and now offers a modern venue for official and personal events—such as weddings, retirements, and other functions—of Delhi Police personnel and government employees. The hall has a capacity of 300–350 guests, features a main hall area of 3,562 sq. ft., a stage area of 1,260 sq. ft., and ample on-site parking. The project was completed in just 94 days, covering a total area of 31,650 sq. ft.

This is Delhi Police’s second such initiative, following the successful launch of Utsav Sadan at New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp.

The Hon’ble LG commended Delhi Police and DPHCL for their efforts in delivering a people-centric welfare facility with quality and efficiency.

Performance by Delhi Police Brass and Pipe Bands at the event added ceremonial elegance to the occasion.
