Labor Department Frees Two Child Laborers in Bahadurpur Block, Darbhanga

In the light of the direction of Labor Superintendent, Darbhanga, Shri Kishore Kumar Jha, a raid was conducted by the raid team of Labor Resources Department in Bahadurpur block for the liberation of child laborers under the Child and Adolescent Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986.

In this sequence, two child laborers have been freed, one from Krishna Mohan Singh Vaishnav Hotel, Benta Chowk, Laheriyasarai, Darbhanga and one child laborer has been freed from Aastha Dairy and Mithai, Dekuli, Baheri Road, Laheriyasarai.

The Labor Superintendent informed that in the financial year 2024-25, 29 child laborers working in various employments in the district have been freed so far by the Labor Department.

Labor Superintendent Shri Kishore Kumar Jha informed that on the one hand, strict action is being taken against the employers. On the other hand, posters, banners and flexes have been put up in public places for the purpose of creating social awareness against child labor.

The raiding team included Sadhna Bharti, Labour Enforcement Officer, Bahadurpur, Rajat Raut, Labour Enforcement Officer, Tardeeh, Nitish Kumar, Labour Enforcement Officer, Kiratpur, Prem Kumar Sah, Labour Enforcement Officer, Jale, representatives of CARDs organisation, Narada Mandal and Narayan Kumar Majumdan, and the police force.
