Modi Slams RJD-Congress Alliance as ‘Unholy Partnership’, Urges Bihar to Reject ‘Jungle Raj’

Intensifying his attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, calling it an “unholy partnership” bound by power, not principles, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today alleged that both parties were embroiled in infighting and have lost credibility among the people.
Addressing a rally in Bhagalpur, Modi said the two opposition parties were engaged in a vicious scramble for power. “Even when they have no access to government and have no share in power, yet they are busy pulling each other down,” he said.
He claimed that RJD posters often omit the faces of Congress leaders and that both parties now fear each other’s shadow. "RJD and Congress are not partners in progress but rivals in power,” Modi said.
“In RJD’s posters, you won’t even find the Congress leader’s photo and if it’s there, you’ll need a telescope to see it,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister accused the two parties of political hypocrisy, claiming that the Congress leadership avoids even mentioning RJD in its rallies, while RJD leaders sideline Congress out of fear. “There’s so much untouchability in this alliance that they are scared even of each other’s shadow,” he remarked.
Continuing his sharp criticism, Modi said, “They have stolen the chief ministerial claim from Congress at gunpoint.”
He also took a jibe at Congress’ top leaders, saying they were “brought to Bihar against their will” and have now become “a burden” on the RJD.
“Those who betray even their allies for power can never be well-wishers of Bihar,” Modi asserted.
Shifting focus on development, Modi said the NDA government is committed to making India self-reliant, urging people to support local manufacturing and products under the “Vocal for Local” and “One District, One Product” initiatives.
He said that the NDA government is putting sincere efforts to ensure that every district of Bihar has a product that reaches global markets. RJD and Congress never spoke about self-reliance or swadeshi and are disconnected from the poor and the hardworking people of Bihar, he alleged.
Modi said under NDA rule, technology, textiles and tourism have become the foundation of Bihar’s modern economy, and the goal is to make the state known not just for silk, but for semiconductors and startups.
Taking a sharp jibe at the opposition, Modi said, “RJD’s political school teaches 'A' for Apaharan (kidnapping), E for 'extortion', 'F' for Firoti (ransom), and 'R' for Rangdari (mafia rule). Their alphabets begin with guns and end with corruption.”
He accused Congress of having “blood on its hands,” citing the Bhagalpur riots and the 1984 Sikh massacre, and said those stains could “never be washed away.”
Modi praised the women of Bihar for their active participation in the first phase of polling, describing them as the “protective wall against jungle raj.” Women are voting in record numbers to keep Bihar safe from RJD jungle raj return.
The NDA government opened Jan Dhan accounts, provided Rs 10,000 direct assistance to over 1.4 crore women, and empowered them with self-employment schemes, Modi said. He added that under RJD and Congress rule, “such empowerment was unthinkable,” as those governments were focused only on family and favouritism.
Modi highlighted the NDA’s infrastructure achievements, including highways, corridors, power plants, and bridges. He announced that projects like the Buxar-Bhagalpur high-speed corridor would boost regional trade and attract major investments.
“Investors are coming to Bihar because of stability and good governance. If instability returns, if RJD and Congress come back , investors will flee, and opportunities for youth will vanish,” he warned.
He reaffirmed the NDA’s manifesto promise of one crore new jobs, saying a clear roadmap is ready to transform Bihar’s economy through technology, textiles, and tourism.
Emphasising heritage-based development, Modi said the NDA government is promoting Mandar Parvat, Ajgaibinath Dham, and other sites under the new religious tourism plan. “Like Kashi and Ujjain, Bhagalpur will soon have its own heritage corridor. The Ganga waterway and dolphin conservation project will also create new livelihoods for youth,” he said.
Modi lashed out at the Congress leadership for allegedly mocking Chhath Puja, calling it an insult to the women of Bihar. “Congress leaders called Chhath a drama. For Bihar’s women, it is a sacred act of devotion. Those who ridicule faith cannot understand Bihar’s culture or spirit,” he said. He urged voters to give a “decisive response” to those who insult the state’s traditions and beliefs.
In the land of "Anga Pradesh of Karna" (mythoogical names linked to Mahabharata), Modi appealed to people to vote wisely for a strong and stable NDA government. He said each vote can protect Bihar from the darkness of jungle raj.
