NIRF Ranking 2024 has been released by the Education Ministry today on 12th August. The complete ranking list has been released on the official website. In this, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has topped the medical category.

This year also AIIMS New Delhi has retained its top position. While the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) of Chandigarh is in second place.

List of top 5 medical institutions in the country

• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS Delhi
• Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh
• Christian Medical College, Vellore
• National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru
• Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry

The top three positions of the institutions in the year 2023 were the same as the 2022 NIRF ranking. AIIMS Delhi was at the top position, PGIMER, Chandigarh secured second position in the ranking and Christian Medical College, Vellore was at third position.

The NIRF ranking has been prepared on five parameters which include teaching learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduate outcomes, outreach and inclusiveness, and perception. Higher educational institutions have been listed in 13 categories which include overall, university, medicine, engineering, management, law, architecture, college, research institute, pharmacy, dentistry, agriculture and permitted areas, and innovation. This year, the number of participating institutes has also increased. Let us tell you that this year a total of 10,885 institutions had applied for NIRF Ranking 2024.
