"No Laxity Will Be Tolerated": CM Nitish Kumar Orders Stern Action Against Criminals

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed the senior authorities to initiate stern action against the criminals and stressed that no laxity will be tolerated in crime control.

While reviewing the law and order situation in the state at a high-level meeting, he warned of taking strict action against officers and police personnel for neglecting their duties towards crime control.

Emphasising the importance of law and order, Kumar said that maintaining peace and safety was the government's top priority.

“No matter who the culprits are, they must not be spared under any circumstances,” he said.

Instructing to expedite investigation processes related to criminal cases, the CM said that it was essential to initiate quick and decisive action against the guilty.

He asked the police administration to remain vigilant in maintaining law and order in the state.

During the meeting which was attended by the Director General of Police and other senior police officials, the DGP apprised the Chief Minister about the efforts taken to control crime across the state.

The CM also sought a detailed information about the murder of industrialist Gopal Khemka and directed officials to thoroughly investigate the incident, identify those responsible, and take strict action without any bias.

He further instructed that if any conspiracy is found behind the crime, it must also be thoroughly probed and the culprits punished accordingly.

Notably, some armed miscreants allegedly shot dead Gopal Khemka, owner of Magadh Hospital, late last night near Gandhi Maidan under Gandhi Maidan police station area in Patna when he was returning to his home.
