The Orientation Programme for newly admitted students at the Patna Hub, a part of the prestigious Orientation Programme of newly admitted students at IARI –Patna hub organized at ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna Global University in New Delhi, commenced at the ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna. The IARI Patna Hub initiated its Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. programs today, marking a significant milestone as 25 UG, 2 PG, and 2 Ph.D. students are set to join.
As a premier research organization under ICAR, New Delhi, the IARI Patna Hub, designated at ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna, added another chapter to its accomplishments. Currently, it serves as one of the 16 IARI hubs across the country as part of the IARI Mega University concept. ICAR RCER, Patna, alongside sister institutes of ICAR located in Patna, has welcomed 18 students from Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and other regions.
An orientation program for the newly admitted students of IARI-Patna Hub took place today under the chairmanship of Dr. Anup Das, Director of the institute. Dr. Anjani Kumar, Director of ATARI, Patna, emphasized setting study targets and maintaining discipline, urging students to be role models for future agriculture students. Dr. Anup Das stressed the importance of continuous interactive learning, collective growth, and maintaining discipline during their tenure at the institute.
Hub Coordinator Dr. Ujjwal Kumar welcomed students and faculty, providing insights into the objectives of the IARI Mega University and its satellite model of education. Dr. Ujjwal Kumar affirmed that ICAR RCER, Patna, would offer the best facilities and faculty for optimal learning. Dr. Md. Monobrullah, Co-Coordinator of UG studies, informed that regular classes would commence from December 6th, 2023, at ICAR-RCER campus, with scientists from ICAR RCER, Patna, and sister institutes as faculty.
