Parineeti Chopra Jokingly Says Raghav Chadha 'Will Never Become Prime Minister'

Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra are all set to bring their charm and chemistry to The Great Indian Kapil Show. In a newly released promo, the couple appears candid, relaxed, and full of playful energy as they chat about their first meeting, their relationship, and enjoy a good laugh with Kapil Sharma and his team.

The promo kicks off with Raghav and Parineeti walking onto the stage hand-in-hand, but it’s Raghav’s bare feet that immediately catch Kapil’s attention. In typical Kapil style, he jokes, asking if Raghav had made some vow to appear barefoot on the show after marriage. Raghav laughs and explains that his shoes were actually stolen — cue Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, who walk on stage holding the shoes hostage and demanding money, sending the audience into splits.

As the conversation flows, Parineeti reveals she first met Raghav in London, and admits that the moment she got home, she Googled: “Raghav Chadha height” — drawing laughs from everyone. Raghav also shares a hilarious anecdote, saying, “Yeh jo bolti hai, uska ulta ho jaata hai. Isne bola, ‘I’ll never ever marry a politician,’ aur politician se shaadi ho gayi. Ab main roz subah isse uthake bolta hoon, ‘Tu bol Raghav Chadha will never ever become the Prime Minister of India.’” (Whatever she says, the opposite happens. She once said she’d never marry a politician, and now she has. So every morning, I wake her up and say, ‘You say it — Raghav Chadha will never ever become the Prime Minister of India.’)

The couple tied the knot in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in 2023 at The Leela Palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The wedding was attended by close friends, family, and several high-profile guests from both the film industry and political circles.

On the work front, Parineeti was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, opposite Diljit Dosanjh. Up next, she’s set to star in a Netflix web series produced by Siddharth P. Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra, and directed by Rensil D’Silva. The title and more details are still under wraps.
