Passport Mobile Van Camp Held At Bhagalpur Engineering College

The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Patna, organised a two-day Passport Mobile Van Camp at Bhagalpur College of Engineering on March 17 and 18 under the Ministry of External Affairs' citizen-centric initiative 'Passport Seva — Passport at Your Doorstep', bringing end-to-end passport services directly to the academic community.
Camp Operations
The camp was jointly inaugurated by college Principal Raju Mulchandji Tugnayat and Regional Passport Officer Swadha Rizvi of the Indian Foreign Service. A total of 95 appointments were scheduled across the two days — 77 male and 18 female applicants — with the majority being students applying for fresh passports. Applicants completed the entire application process on campus itself, including document verification, biometric data collection, and form submission, eliminating the need to visit a Passport Seva Kendra or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra.
The camp drew a strong response particularly from students planning to pursue higher education abroad or explore international career opportunities.
Expanding Outreach Across Bihar
This was the 16th Passport Mobile Van Camp conducted by RPO Patna since April 2024. Through similar camps held across various districts and institutions in Bihar, passport services have been extended to approximately 2,000 applicants to date. Speaking at the inauguration, RPO Swadha Rizvi underlined the role of such camps in making passport services more inclusive and accessible to citizens beyond urban centres.
The next Passport Mobile Van Camp is scheduled to be held at Nalanda University in April 2026.
