Patna Metro speeds ahead: Minister Jiwesh Kumar inspects depot and Zero Mile station

Metro rail is going to pick up speed soon in the capital Patna. Urban Development and Housing Minister Jiwesh Kumar on Wednesday visited two major sites of Patna Metro Project, Metro Depot and Zero Mile Metro Station, and took stock of the work progress. At the Metro Depot, Minister Jiwesh Kumar inspected the modern rolling stock (metro trains) and got information about the special facilities built for their operation and maintenance.
At Zero Mile Metro Station, he also reviewed the passenger-centric design. Which includes security systems, facilities and modern infrastructure for smooth and comfortable travel for passengers.
During this, Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department and Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRCL) Abhay Kumar Singh gave detailed information to Minister Jiwesh Kumar about the progress so far and preparations for various phases of upcoming operations. This inspection of the Urban Development Minister reinforces the belief that Patna Metro is continuously moving forward towards providing safe, reliable and modern transport services to the city.
