Patna Women Empowered Through Sewing Machine Distribution at Kaushal Nagar

The power of social media, an effort to empower women with skills. Today, on November 26, 2025, sewing machines were distributed to women and girls in Kaushal Nagar, Patna, for tailoring training. The program was organized by Parihar Seva Sansthan. The program was conducted by the institute's director, Pragya Bharti, to empower women to become self-reliant. A large number of women, including Pragya Bharti, Ward Councilor of Ward No. 9, Uday Jha, Prabha Ji, Planning Officer of the Bihar Government, and Gaurav Rai, participated in the event.
Gaurav Rai explained that these sewing machines were arranged through a social media campaign. There are many people in society who want to help the needy in this way. It is up to us to organize them and help the underprivileged. Gaurav Rai expressed that he enjoyed being here and that he would donate another sewing machine from his salary next month to make it easier for women to come here and learn.
Gaurav Rai stated that through his family, friends, and social media, 265 sewing machines have been distributed to those in need so far. He shared a common goal: to empower women to become self-reliant and support their families by creating self-employment.
Gaurav Rai thanked the institute's director, Pragya Bharti, and said that as each batch completes, he will provide a sewing machine to one woman from each batch from his salary, encouraging them to create self-employment. Everyone present praised Pragya Bharti's initiative. The ward councilor present on the occasion praised the organization's efforts to encourage such an event in his area and expressed his hope that she would strive to encourage women in the area to participate and write a new story.
Planning Officer Prabha Ji, in her closing address, advised the girls to pursue education and wished everyone a bright future. At the beginning of the program, Pragya Bharti, director of Parihar Seva Sansthan, welcomed all the guests and the women and girls present.
