Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar on taking oath as a Member of the Rajya Sabha.

In a social media post, the Prime Minister described Nitish Kumar as one of the most experienced leaders in the country and praised his commitment to good governance. He said Kumar has made a lasting contribution to the development of Bihar and expressed confidence that his presence in Parliament would further enhance its dignity.

Modi noted that it would be a pleasure to see Nitish Kumar return to Parliament, highlighting that his extensive political experience would add value to legislative proceedings.

The Prime Minister also congratulated former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh on his nomination to the Upper House. He praised Harivansh for his contributions to journalism and public life, describing him as a respected intellectual and thinker.

Modi further said that Harivansh’s insights and perspectives have enriched parliamentary debates over the years, expressing confidence that his continued presence will benefit the functioning of the House.
