PM Modi Issues Strong Warning to Pakistan, Highlights India’s Indigenous Defence Strength

On Saturday in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a firm message to Pakistan, warning that any future acts of terror would be met with swift and decisive retaliation using India’s homegrown weapons.

Modi announced, “BrahMos missiles will now be manufactured in Lucknow… and if Pakistan commits any sin again, missiles made in UP will destroy the terrorists.” He praised India’s defence capabilities, saying that during Operation Sindoor, the world witnessed the power of indigenous weapons like Air Defence Systems, missiles, and drones, with BrahMos missiles standing out as a symbol of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) initiative.

“Just hearing the name ‘BrahMos’ is enough to keep Pakistan awake at night,” Modi said, emphasizing the growing strength of India’s military manufacturing. He added that many major defence companies are setting up plants in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor, promising that “Made in India” weapons will soon be the backbone of India’s armed forces.

Modi also stressed the importance of national unity and economic self-reliance amid global instability. “All countries are looking out for their own interests. India is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy, so we must remain vigilant about protecting our economic interests,” he said.

Highlighting his government’s efforts, he assured, “We are doing everything possible for the country’s best interest.” He called on political parties to put aside differences and unite behind the goal of making India a global economic powerhouse, urging everyone to support ‘swadeshi’ (locally made) products.

“We will buy only what is made by Indians. We need to be vocal for local,” Modi urged citizens.

This push for ‘swadeshi’ comes just days after former US President Donald Trump called India a “dead economy” in criticism of its ties with Russia and announced a 25% tariff “penalty” on Indian goods.
