PM Modi to Inaugurate Patna Airport's Rs 1,200 Crore Terminal and Lay Foundation for Bihta Airport

Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the airport to be built at Bihta with a cost of Rs 542 crore.

The changing picture of Bihar has completely highlighted the development of Bihar on the map of the country and the world. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, Bihar is writing a new chapter of development in every field. Patna's Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport has also been included in this series. Patna Airport has completely changed now. It has started looking grand and huge. The area of ​​this airport terminal, built at a cost of Rs 1200 crore, has increased from 12 thousand to 65 thousand square feet. Where 750 vehicles can be parked in the multi-level parking. Here the movement of passengers in the passenger terminal will start from June 5 through travelator and connecting bridge.

To add to the beauty of the airport, its interior has been linked to the culture of Bihar. The walls inside the airport have been decorated with the artworks of Bihar's folk festival Chhath Puja. Here the culture of the state has been depicted through 3D painting. It depicts a group of Chhath devotees offering Arghya. Apart from this, a painting of Lord Buddha has been made. Mithila painting has been beautifully engraved on the walls, which will be the center of attraction. There will also be five aerobridges.

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar believes that our culture is our heritage. Our hard work and dedication is our identity. International level facilities have now been made available for passengers at Patna Airport. Facilities like Delhi and Mumbai have now been made available to the people at Patna Airport.

The capacity of flights from Patna Airport will increase from 34 to 75. At the same time, the capacity of passengers will increase from 25 lakh to about 1 crore. Along with this, a 150 meter travelator has been installed to go from the airport premises to the multi-level parking, which is showing its beauty. The new terminal building is G+1. Four gates have been made for this. Eight gates have been constructed to board the plane from the first floor, 15 lifts and four escalators have been installed so that passengers do not face any inconvenience. Till yesterday, passengers were boarded or deboarded by buses at Patna Airport in Bihar. Now 5 aerobridges have been built for this, through which passengers will be able to board the plane directly from the first floor.

Due to the new building, the area of ​​Patna Airport has increased from 11 thousand 820 square meters to 65 thousand 150 square meters. All kinds of modern facilities including a huge waiting area and lounge for passengers have become the center of attraction of this airport. Earlier, passengers had to stand in long queues here, 64 check-in counters have been built for their convenience. Till now 5 planes have been parked, but with the opening of the new terminal building, 11 planes will be able to be parked. Not only this, along with the inauguration of the new building in Patna, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the airport to be built in Bihta at a cost of Rs 542 crore
