Polytechnic Students Shine at State-Level Literary and Cultural Fest ‘Umang-2026’

As part of the state-level sports and literary-cultural festival "Umang-2026," students from government polytechnic institutions today showcased their talents in various fields of literature, art, and intellectual expression. Students showcased their talents with confidence, creativity, and logical thinking on a state-level platform in competitions such as singing, quizzes, debates, storytelling, essay writing, painting, and poster making.

Harsh Raj from Government Polytechnic Banka emerged victorious in singing, while Chandraveer Kumar from Government Polytechnic Supaul emerged runner-up. Kishan Kumar Srivastava and Aditya Raj from Government Polytechnic Patna-7 emerged first in the quiz, while Bittu Kumar and Rana from Government Polytechnic Muzaffarpur emerged runners-up. Om Kumar Gupta and Chandan Kumar from Government Polytechnic Khagaria emerged victorious in Dumb Chariots, while Aryan Thakur and Shivam Kumar from Government Polytechnic Bhagalpur emerged runners-up.

Avishri from GP Purnia won first place in both Group Discussion (English) and Debate (English), while Prakriti Soumya (GWP Patna-14) and Palak Kumari (NGP Patna-13) were runners-up, respectively. Prakriti Soumya was the winner and Avishri was the runner-up in Extempore (English). Kajal Kumari (GWP Patna-14) won first place in Story Writing (Hindi) and Vidushi Ranjan (GWP Muzaffarpur) won first place in Story Writing (English).

Sajan Kumar from GP Banka won first place in Essay Writing (Hindi) and Stuti Kumari from Government Polytechnic Motihari won first place in Essay Writing (English). Nikhil Kumar from Government Polytechnic Motihari won first place in Painting and Alisha Singh from Government Polytechnic Bhojpur won first place in Poster Making. The winners and runners-up in all competitions were honored and awarded prizes by the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education.

It is noteworthy that in the next phase under 'Umang-2026', state level sports and literary-cultural competitions will be organized for the students of government engineering colleges.
