The Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna, organized a pool placement drive today at the Planetarium, Patna, under the Center of Excellence. This placement drive was conducted for students from Mechanical, Automobile, and Fire Safety branches of all state polytechnic institutes in the state.

This pool placement drive was conducted for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (Trainee) positions at Maruti Suzuki India Private Limited. Over 1,100 applications were received from various state polytechnic institutes in the state. After the initial online screening, 600 candidates were selected for the online examination.

Based on the online examination, 73 candidates were selected for the final interview. 71 candidates appeared for the interview held today, and the interview process has been completed. The final selection results will be announced soon.

Selected candidates will be appointed to the position of Junior Engineer Trainee. Candidates with a three-year diploma will receive an annual remuneration of approximately ₹5.00 lakh per year.
