The Chief Minister said that whatever problems and requirements you have will be fulfilled. Jeevika Didis are doing very good work in the whole of Bihar. We gave the name Jeevika Didi to the women associated with self-help groups, do not forget this. Inspired by this, the central government of that time named it Aajeevika across the country. Through Pragati Yatra, we go to different places and talk to Jeevika Didis. In the year 2006, we took a loan from the World Bank and increased the number of self-help groups in Bihar, as a result of which today the number of self-help groups in Bihar has increased to more than 10 lakhs, with 1 crore 31 lakh women associated with them. We have now started connecting women to self-help groups in urban areas as well. The condition of women has changed a lot by joining self-help groups. Women joining self-help groups are also given training. Earlier women did not step out of their homes. Now they are doing their business fearlessly. They have also started talking to people properly. I am pleased to see this.

While talking to journalists, the Chief Minister said that earlier the number of self-help groups in Bihar was very less. When I was a minister in the central government, I had to go to many places and see the self-help groups there. When I got a chance to work in Bihar, I started Jeevika groups on a large scale in Bihar from the year 2006. Seeing this, the then central government started a scheme named 'Ajeevika' in the whole country. Women have gained a lot of confidence by joining the Jeevika group. Jeevika didis now present their views in a very good manner. It feels very good to see this. Wherever we go, we definitely meet Jeevika didis. A large number of women are associated with Jeevika groups in Bihar. 1 crore 31 lakh women are associated with Jeevika groups. Now Jeevika groups are being formed in urban areas as well. In response to a question on political rhetoric in Bihar, the Chief Minister said that we have nothing to do with this. We have been working since the beginning. People of our party made a mistake twice, now this will not happen again. We are working together. Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji made me the Chief Minister. He respected me a lot. He wanted me to become the Chief Minister of Bihar.
