Under the direction of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is dedicated to improving each woman's total development. The Punjab State Commission for Women is scheduled to visit jails around the state in order to carry out this commitment. She continued by saying that the Commission's objective is to pinpoint areas in need of development and work with the jail administration to put those improvements into action. The three main areas of emphasis will be general living conditions, hygiene, and healthcare. This endeavor is a component of a larger initiative to guarantee the protection of the rights and welfare of female prisoners.
