Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s New Mumbai Home Nearly Complete, But One Missing Detail Has the Internet Talking

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s dream home in Mumbai’s Bandra is almost ready, and it’s already turning heads. Although construction wrapped up back in October last year, the final touches are only now coming together — and the transformation is hard to miss. The multi-storey bungalow now boasts lush greenery on every floor, sleek finishes, and fencing designed to offer the family some much-needed privacy.
But despite the elegant upgrades, eagle-eyed fans on the internet have pointed out one glaring omission: the front gate is still missing.
A popular paparazzo account shared a video of the couple’s new home on Instagram, captioning it, “New beginnings in a dream home! Alia & Ranbir’s love nest is finally ready.” While the house looks significantly more complete than in previous videos — with plants, polished exteriors, and added fencing — the absence of a proper front gate didn’t go unnoticed.
Social media users had a field day with the detail. One person joked, “Itna kharcha ho gaya ki naya gate banane ke paise hi nahi bache,” (They spent so much, there’s no money left for a new gate). Another quipped, “Gate itna sasta kyu banaya, Patre ka?” (Why did they go so cheap with the gate? It looks like it’s made from tin). Others chimed in with memes and comments like, “Ranbir be like — main gate nahi banwaunga,” and, “Kya main gate ke liye alag fund jaari hoga?” (Will there be a separate fund just for the gate?)
The couple has been closely involved in the construction of their home, often visiting the site with their daughter Raha or Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor. For now, they continue to live in Pali Hill.
On the work front, Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 blockbuster Animal, where he played the intense and violent Ranvijay Singh. Alia’s most recent film was Jigra (2024) by Vasan Bala, which unfortunately didn’t leave a mark at the box office. Next up, the couple will be seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, alongside Vicky Kaushal. Ranbir is also gearing up for Ramayana, while Alia will appear in the upcoming sci-fi action film Alpha.
