Saharanpur:Need to Improve the City and the Quality of Education, Along with Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Aligarh, Meerut, Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad, Saharanpur has also emerged as an important centre of education in Uttar Pradesh. However, due to the city’s inadequate infrastructure and the education standards not being up to expectations, the number of students coming here has not increased to the extent that could be expected from its administrative setup and numerous educational institutions.

Over the past decade, Saharanpur has rapidly gained popularity as an inter-state educational centre. This popularity is not due to the city’s overall system or the quality of educational institutions that have mushroomed indiscriminately, but rather because of the “facilities” provided to candidates in various examinations and the timely conduct of exams. As a result, students receive their degrees and diplomas on time and are able to focus on building their careers.

Owing to various facilities and concessions, not only students from nearby districts of Uttar Pradesh but also a large number of students from other states are obtaining degrees and diplomas from Saharanpur. Prominent among these are students from Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi.

If, along with such support, students from different states are also provided with quality education and better administrative systems, Saharanpur can earn a respectable position in the field of education. Otherwise, it will continue to be known merely as a city that arranges degrees and diplomas.
