Nawab Singh is an old associate of Akhilesh Yadav and has always been close to him. Nawab has also been a representative of Akhilesh's wife Dimple Yadav. According to reports, the accused leader had called the minor victim along with her aunt on the pretext of giving her a job. After this, she was sexually abused. It is alleged that a Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and his employee raped a 12-year-old girl, due to which she became pregnant. The minor has been admitted to Queen Mary Hospital, attached to King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow since Monday for better care.

Ayodhya Inspector General of Police Praveen Kumar said on Wednesday that DNA tests of the accused, the victim and the foetus will be conducted to build a strong case against the accused.
