Samrat Choudhary Inaugurates ‘Mati Ka Bal Dangal’ in Jamui, Vows to Boost Traditional Sports in Bihar

Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Samrat Choudhary, today formally inaugurated the traditional wrestling competition, "Mati Ka Bal Dangal," held at the S.K. Singh Memorial Stadium in Jamui on February 14-15. Present on the stage at the opening ceremony were Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Choudhary and Chief Guest, Sports Minister Ms. Shreyasi Singh. Former Minister and MLA Mr. Damodar Rawat, Jamui District Magistrate Mr. Naveen Kumar, Superintendent of Police Mr. Vishwajeet Dayal, Executive Director of the Bihar State Sports Authority, Mr. Ravindra Nath Choudhary, Deputy Director Mr. Himanshu Singh, Sports Officer Mr. Chandan Kumar Singh, Assistant Director of the Sports Department, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, President of the Bihar Kabaddi Association, Mr. Vishal Kumar Singh, Secretary Mr. Vijay Kumar, and other dignitaries.
In his address, welcoming the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Choudhary said, "I am very happy and proud to witness this historic wrestling competition on the land of Jamui."
The "Mati Ka Bal Dangal," held here for the first time, is a platform for social and cultural unity. This competition, which brings to life Bihar's traditional wrestling, is a confluence of Bihar's tradition, bravery, and culture.
Infrastructure is being rapidly constructed throughout Bihar for the development of sports, so that more international-level athletes can be produced in Bihar.
Our resolve is to promote prosperity in Bihar through a spirit of sportsmanship, and the Central and State governments are jointly making every possible effort and support to achieve this.
Chief Guest, Sports Minister, Ms. Shreyasi Singh, in her address, greeted the people and thanked the organizers, saying, "I was very excited when I heard about the Mati Ka Bal Dangal competition being held in Jamui, as the soil of Jamui is full of sporting talent. The athletes here are excelling in every sport. Bihar is also establishing its own identity internationally in the field of sports. The government is committed to the all-round development of sports and athletes here, and we are continuously making every possible effort and support to achieve this." As a sportsperson and Sports Minister, I assure you all that I will leave no stone unturned to take Bihar to new heights in the field of sports. Our dream and goal is to ensure maximum participation of Bihar's players in the Olympics in the future.
Executive Director of Bihar State Sports Authority, Mr. Ravindra Nath Choudhary and President of Bihar Wrestling Association, Mr. Vishal Singh, in their addresses, welcomed all those present at the function. Vinay Kumar was conducting the stage. This competition is being organized under the joint auspices of the Sports Department, Bihar State Sports Authority and Bihar Wrestling Association.
