St. Karen's high school Students Get a Glimpse into Future at IIT Patna Educational Tour

Bihta: A group of enthusiastic Class 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) students from St. Karen's High School, Patna, today embarked on an enriching educational excursion to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, located in Bihta. Accompanied by dedicated faculty members Mrs. Anupam Jha, Dr. P. C. Das, and Mr. Tahseen Akhtar, the visit aimed to provide the young minds with a firsthand experience of advanced scientific research, cutting-edge laboratories, and the vibrant academic atmosphere of a leading engineering institution.

The visit, undertaken under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Seema Singh, aimed to expose students from the Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics (PCM) stream to the academic environment and technological advancements at one of India’s premier engineering institutes.


The St. Karen's high school contingent was warmly received upon arrival at the sprawling 501-acre IIT Patna campus by Dr. Ajay Kumar Yadav, a distinguished Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Dr. Yadav initiated the tour with a comprehensive overview of the institute's impressive infrastructure. The students were visibly impressed by the modern buildings nestled amidst lush greenery, a testament to the institute's commitment to creating an eco-friendly and conducive environment for both rigorous academic pursuits and holistic personal development.


The meticulously planned tour then took the students through the hallowed halls of the Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering departments. Within these departments, the budding scientists and engineers had the invaluable opportunity to witness advanced research in action and explore state-of-the-art experimental setups. They engaged with faculty members and research scholars, gaining practical insights that went beyond the theoretical knowledge acquired in their classrooms. Speaking about the significance of the visit, Mr. Michael P Nayagam the Plus Two in-charge at St. Karen's High School, emphasized the school's commitment to providing holistic education. "We believe that such educational trips are crucial for our Class 11 and 12 students," he stated. "These excursions allow them to explore and directly connect the concepts taught in the classroom with real-world applications and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead in higher education and research."
