To improve the quality of health services in the medical colleges and hospitals of the state, a state level review meeting was organized on 5 February 2025 in the auditorium of the Health Department located at Vikas Bhawan, Patna. This meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the Health Department, Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh.

In the meeting, necessary guidelines were given to the superintendents of all medical colleges and hospitals to improve health services and provide high quality facilities to the patients. Necessary instructions were given to the officials of BMSICL to complete the installation of MRI machine in Pawapuri Medical College soon.

The Secretary emphasized on 100% assurance of biometric attendance in medical colleges and hospitals as per the guidelines of the National Medical Council. Also, instructions were given to give priority to the treatment of maximum Ayushman card holder patients in hospitals.

With the aim of making MBBS studies accessible in Hindi in medical colleges, instructions were given to ensure the availability of Hindi language textbooks in libraries. Apart from this, special emphasis was also laid on strengthening the process of registration of patients through Abha ID in medical colleges.

Emphasizing the necessity of providing quality food to the patients through Didi Ki Rasoi operated in the state, the Secretary directed to ensure its effective monitoring. Along with this, instructions were given to start the facilities of IPD along with OPD service operated in the Super Specialty Block of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Anugrah Narayan Medical College and Hospital (ANMCH) and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH) as soon as possible.

Superintendents of all the medical colleges and hospitals of the state, senior officers of the Health Department and other related employees were present in the meeting.
