STF's Swift Action Foils 16 Crimes in Bihar, Including 11 Planned Murders

Due to the increased activity of STF in the last few months, success is being achieved in curbing criminal activities. During the last 3 months i.e. from December 2024 to February 2025, the criminals or their gangs involved in serious crimes like murder, robbery, dacoity were caught before committing them. This has succeeded in foiling these criminal activities. In this, the most probable murder related cases have been foiled by STF due to its vigilance and promptness. In these three months, STF has succeeded in foiling 11 murder related incidents on time, due to which these incidents were stopped in time.

According to the data received from the Police Headquarters, 4 criminal cases could be foiled in December 2024, which include 2 murder and 2 robbery or loot cases. Similarly, in January this year, apart from 3 murders, 2 robbery or dacoity and in February, 6 murders and 2 potential robbery or loot incidents have been foiled. In this way, STF foiled more than 16 crimes before they could be executed.

STF has succeeded in arresting criminal gangs or its members and many notorious criminals with the help of intelligence, public cooperation and high-tech analysis. A special team of STF is constantly involved in finding out the active criminals or gang members involved in any criminal crime. After an incident, detailed information about the criminals is collected after analyzing many related aspects.

These major incidents were prevented

- On December 4, Pankaj Rai, included in the list of top-10 criminals of Patna, was arrested from Digha in Patna with illegal weapons. At that time, he was planning to kill Deepak Rai, an active member of Billa gang, along with other criminals.

- On December 12, the state's wanted interstate criminal Ajay Paswan was arrested with illegal weapons from Pindra of Hunterganj police station in Chatra, Jharkhand. He was planning a bank robbery with his gang.

- Subodh Mahato, one of the top 10 criminals of Muzaffarpur, was arrested from Khalilpur of Karja police station of the district. He was planning to kill Heman Rai, a resident of Karja police station.

- On January 8, 2025, criminal Prakash Kumar, who was planning to rob a jewelry shop in Gaya, was arrested from Gaya along with two associates.

- On February 7, Shubham Kumar was arrested from Mokama in Patna along with other criminals. Keeping his mobile on surveillance helped in nabbing the entire gang. Their plan was to shoot and kill two motorcycle riders.

- On February 17, Patna's notorious criminal gang Shalu alias Fracture, Chand, Abhishek and Bunty Khan were arrested from Sonar Toli in the city. They had planned to execute a major robbery plan in Patna City area. These criminals had spread terror in this area by firing with the intention of extorting ransom.
