Strong Earthquake Shakes Delhi-NCR, No Damage Reported

At 9:04 a.m. on Thursday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 struck close to Jhajjar in Haryana, sending powerful tremors through Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and the surrounding areas, as per the National Center for Seismology. No reports of injuries or property damage thus far, people fled buildings in terror.

Delhi is located close to multiple active fault lines and is in Zone IV, a high-risk seismic zone. It is also more susceptible to tremors due to its closeness to the Himalayan region, which is prone to earthquakes.
