Three Minor Sisters Die by Suicide in Ghaziabad, Leave Eight-Page Note Citing Korean Gaming Obsession

Three minor sisters jumped to their deaths from the ninth floor of their apartment building in Ghaziabad's Bharat City township early Monday, leaving behind an eight-page note apologizing to their parents and revealing their obsession with an online Korean game.

Pakhi (12), Prachi (14), and Vishika (16) locked their room from inside and jumped from the balcony window one by one around 2:15 AM. They were rushed to a hospital in Loni, where all three were declared dead.

Haunting Final Messages

The sisters left a pocket diary with an eight-page note written in Hinglish, urging their parents to read it entirely.

"Is diary me jo kuch bhi likha hai vo sab padh lo quki ye sab sach hai (Read everything written in this diary because it's the truth). Read now! I'm really sorry. Sorry, Papa," the note read, followed by a crying emoji.

On their bedroom wall, one sister had written: "I am very, very alone, my life is very very alone."

Gaming Obsession Since Pandemic

The girls reportedly developed an addiction to an online task-based Korean game during the Covid pandemic. Their obsession was so deep that they had adopted Korean names and carried out tasks assigned within the game.

"We can't leave Korea. Korea is our life. You can't free us. We are ending our lives," the note mentioned, according to their father.

Investigation Underway

Deputy Commissioner of Police Nimish Patil revealed the girls had not attended school for the past two years, allegedly due to weak academic performance and financial issues. The family had recently imposed restrictions on their mobile phone use.

Police are investigating whether the suicide is linked to an in-game task, with the middle sister Prachi believed to have been leading her siblings.

Their father appealed to other parents: "I urge parents to not let their children play video games. I didn't know about this game."
