Tragic Accident in Sikkim: Army Vehicle Falls into Gorge, Four Soldiers Killed

A major road accident took place in Sikkim. An army vehicle fell into a ditch here on Thursday, killing four Indian Army soldiers. Relief and rescue work has been started on the spot. This accident happened in the Pakyong district of Sikkim.
According to officials, four Indian Army soldiers were going from Pedong in West Bengal to Zuluk via the Silt Route in the Pakyong district of Sikkim on Thursday. During that time, the army vehicle slipped down about 700 to 800 feet near Dalopchand Dara on Rank Rongli State Highway. Four soldiers including a JCO have died in this accident.
The deceased include driver Pradeep Patel from Madhya Pradesh, Shilpkar W Peter from Manipur, Naik Gursev Singh from Haryana and Subedar K Thangapandi from Tamil Nadu. All the deceased soldiers, including the driver, were posted in a unit in Binaguri, West Bengal.
