UP CEO Announces 99.48% Distribution of Voter Enumeration Forms for Special Intensive Revision

Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa today said that 99.48 percent, enumeration forms for Special Intensive Revision( SIR) have been distributed in the state so far.
The Chief Electoral Officer stated that there are a total of 15,44,30,092 voters in the state, and so far, 15,36,29,570, BLOs have distributed the counting forms commenced on November 4.
Voters are required to complete and submit the enumeration forms by December 4.
The draft voter list will be published on December 9.
After hearing claims and objections received from December 9 to January 8, the final voter list will be published on February 7. People have also been given the opportunity to fill out the counting forms online. So far, over 90,000 voters in UP have filled out their enumeration forms online.
He stated that all recognized political parties have appointed 385,799 BLAs, including the Samajwadi Party (SP) (112,309), the BJP (156,015), the BSP (100,169), the Indian National Congress (16,538), the Apna Dal (S) (713), and the CPI (M) (55). The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the NPP (NPP) have yet to appoint a single BLA. He also urged all political parties to appoint their own Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at each booth.
He said that BLAs of political parties should also help voters in filling the counting forms so that the SIR process can be made easier and transparent. BLAs can get a maximum of 50 enumeration forms filled daily and give them to BLOs. BLOs are going door-to-door to distribute and collect the counting forms.
He said that the help of volunteers from NCC, NSS and voluntary organizations is also being taken to fill the counting forms correctly.
He informed that no documents are being taken from any voter during the distribution and collection of counting forms. The names of those voters who fill in their details on the counting form and submit it to the Booth Level Officer will be included in the document list. Voters whose names do not match the voter list of the year 2003 will be issued a notice.
Earlier in the day, CEO held meeting with representatives of political parties. Officials of Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Aam Aadmi Party, Apna Dal (S) and NPP were present in the meeting.
