Tight security arrangements have been made to make the police constable examination in Uttar Pradesh copy-free and safe. Still, incidents of cheating have also been reported during the recruitment process.
According to the report, two accused, including a woman constable posted in Shravasti, have been arrested, who were extorting money from candidates on the pretext of selling papers. The name of the detained woman constable is Pinky Sonkar, and she was caught from Bansgaon in Gorakhpur. The other accused arrested with her is Dev Pratap Singh, a resident of Delhi.
The police have found the admit cards of five candidates and evidence of money transactions from the mobile of the woman constable. The police are currently investigating the entire matter and the arrested accused are being questioned.
Checking of photocopy shops, cyber cafes, and motorcycle stands located around the examination centers will also be done. UP-112 PRV vehicles will monitor important and sensitive places in the police station areas where the examination centers are located. The continuous movement of UP 112 PRV vehicles will be ensured at these places to maintain security and discipline. These steps have been taken to prevent cheating and any other unauthorized activities.
