West Bengal's Final Voter List Publication Begins; Hard Copies Up in Districts Before Online Release

The publication of West Bengal's final electoral voter list has commenced, with hard copies being distributed through Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across districts even as the digital version remains pending on the Election Commission's official portals and mobile application.

In an unusual sequence, the final voter rolls have reached the public through offline channels before their online counterparts. Hard copies of the updated lists have already been put up in several districts, including Bankura and Cooch Behar, giving residents in those areas early access to verify their details. The Election Commission has assured that the complete voter list will be made available on its website and designated digital platforms very soon.

Residents across West Bengal are encouraged to check the physical copies posted at their nearest BLO locations and verify that their names, addresses, and other details are accurately reflected. Once the online portal is updated, voters will also be able to check their status digitally through the Election Commission's website and mobile application.

The publication of the final voter list is a key step in electoral preparedness as West Bengal gears up for its upcoming assembly elections, expected in April-May 2026.
