Government oil companies maintained stability in the prices of petrol and diesel in the country for the 48th consecutive day. On Wednesday, the price of petrol in Jaipur was Rs 107.06 and the price of diesel was Rs 90.70 per liter. The Rajasthan government had cut VAT on petrol and diesel at the beginning of November 17, after which petrol became cheaper by Rs 4.04 and diesel by Rs 5.01 per liter. On Wednesday, the price of petrol in Jaipur was Rs 107.06 and the price of diesel was Rs 90.70 per liter. The Rajasthan government had cut VAT on petrol and diesel at the beginning of November 17, after which petrol became cheaper by Rs 4.04 and diesel by Rs 5.01 per liter. The state government had reduced VAT on petrol to 31.04 per cent instead of 36 and 19.30 per cent on diesel by 26. The reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel by the central government by Rs 5 and Rs 10 per liter respectively had brought down its prices in the country. After this, Uttar Pradesh 22 states and union territories of the country, including Karnataka, had reduced the value added tax (VAT) on both these products. There was no change in the price of petrol and diesel in the domestic market even on the 43rd day.

The condition of petrol and diesel in the metropolitan cities of the country is Rs 103.97 per liter of petrol in Delhi and Rs 86.67 per liter of diesel, Rs 109.98 per liter of petrol in Mumbai and Rs 94.14 per liter of diesel, Rs 104.67 in Kolkata and Rs 89.79 per liter of diesel. In Chennai, the price of petrol reached Rs 101.40 and diesel Rs 91.43 per liter.

Let us tell you that the prices of petrol and diesel change every day at six o’clock in the morning. The new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles.
