Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Visits Begusarai for Khelo India Youth Games, Interacts with Athletes

Patna: Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today visited the venue of the 'Khelo India Youth Games 2025' at Yamuna Bhagat Stadium in Teghra block of Begusarai district. During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the sports complex and interacted with the young athletes participating in the Games, offering words of encouragement and boosting their morale.
The Chief Minister met with players from various states including West Bengal, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar, who are competing in the ongoing 'Khelo India Youth Games 2025'. He engaged in conversation with the participants, showing keen interest in their experiences and performance.
During his visit to the Yamuna Bhagat Stadium, Shri Kumar also took time to observe a women's football match underway between the teams from Andhra Pradesh and Haryana.
Touring the stadium premises, the Chief Minister greeted the players and spectators who had gathered from different states, waving to acknowledge their presence. The players and spectators responded with applause and warm greetings for the Chief Minister.
At the venue, Sports Minister Shri Surendra Mehta and Begusarai District Magistrate Shri Tushar Singla formally welcomed the Chief Minister. They presented him with a traditional bouquet, a memento, and a 'Khelo India' kit.
A host of dignitaries and senior officials were present on the occasion, including Union Textiles Minister Shri Giriraj Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Revenue and Land Reforms Minister and Begusarai District In-charge Minister Shri Sanjay Sarawgi, Sports Minister Shri Surendra Mehta, local MLA Shri Raj Kumar Singh, former Minister Smt. Manju Verma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of General Administration and Sports Department Dr. B. Rajender, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Kumar Ravi, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Begusarai Range Shri Ashish Bharti, Begusarai District Magistrate Shri Tushar Singla, and Superintendent of Police Shri Manish, among others.
The Chief Minister's visit highlighted the state government's focus on promoting sports and supporting young talent through initiatives like the Khelo India Youth Games.
